CHOP SHOP: Bodies of Work returns to the Theatre at Meydenbauer for a special 10th anniversary retrospective of extraordinary contemporary dance from Seattle and beyond, alongside master classes and free community dance classes. Recognized as one of the most important dance events of the year, CHOP SHOP serves up a unique sampling of contemporary dance from leading regional, national, and international award-winning dancers, specifically for the Eastside. Don’t miss the return of festival favorite choreographers and artists, plus one new to Seattle! Drawn from diverse backgrounds and possessing strong individual voices, CHOP SHOP artists are united through their power to stir the senses.

The 2017 festival features performances by Alex Ketley/The Foundry (San Francisco), Mark Haim (Seattle), Adam Barruch/Anatomiae Occultii (New York City), Donald Sales/Project20 (Vancouver, BC), Eva Stone/The Stone Dance Collective (Seattle), Joshua Beamish/MOVETHECOMPANY (Vancouver, BC), Bryn Cohn + Artists (New York City), and Christina Chan/New Zealand School of Dance (Wellington).
