Surname is the Name of the Game Genealogists search not only their ancestral surnames but variants of the spelling of the surname in order to capture as many ancestral records as possible. Seating first come, first served.

April 14:

Locating Our Ancestors in Time and Place: Censuses, City Directories and Tax Lists. Researching our ancestors starts by establishing where they were and when. Records like censuses, directories and tax lists are essential to finding our ancestors and the records that they left behind. Seating first come, first served.

April 21:

Using Fold3 to Find Your Military Ancestors The records of our ancestor's military service may be but faint memories today, but through Fold3 the military causes come alive with historical records from many sources, spanning everything from colonial wars to Viet Nam. First come, first seated.

April 28:

Using Historical Newspapers to Transport You in Time and Place Many ancestors appeared in newspapers whether they intended to or not. Newspaper accounts are often colorful, chronicling day-to-day triumphs and tribulations, surprising and even occasionally salacious, these are not necessarily the family stories that have been passed down! First come, first served.
