Mid-Summer Tai-Chi in the Park

Meet outside at Bellevue Library South Courtyard. Enjoy four Tai-Chi classes with Master Yijiao Hong, who will provide step-by-step instructions emphasizing the skills of self-centering, body relaxation and alignment. The classes will provide warm-up, simple stretching, and Tai-Chi Silk Reeling movements suitable for beginners and those with some experience. Master Yijiao Hong founded the Chinese Wushu & Taichi Academy in Seattle in 1996. Master Hong has 33 years of teaching experience both in China and the US, is a former assistant professor of ZheJiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a 12th generation descendant of Chen Style Taichi. Master Hong is a student of Grandmaster Chen Zhenglei and Yang Grandmaster Fu Shengyuang. Master Hong's teaching mission is to cultivate students' home practice habits for maintaining a healthy body, mind and quality life.
