About

-Access Points: Issaquah-to-High Point Trail; Central Park in the Issaquah Highlands

Grand Ridge Park is comprised of 1,200 acres of dense forest in the Issaquah Alps that ascend to 1,100 feet in elevation east of Issaquah and Lake Sammamish. The park was established to preserve natural resources, as it is a habitat to various woodland animals and plants. A seven-mile trail traverses the long and linear park, on which visitors can hike, mountain bike, and even horseback ride. The park also features a 600-foot boardwalk near Duthie Hill, and a 40-foot-long hand-built bridge over Canyon Creek.

The habitat is very diverse and characteristic of the Pacific Northwest, including second growth Douglas fir trees, groves of western red cedar trees, sword ferns, red alder forests, wetlands, bears, cougars, owls, and salmon, among other wildlife.
