(P) 425-577-3657

Lake Sammamish State Park is an expansive park near the city of Issaquah. It is comprised of 512 acres with almost 7,000 feet in waterfront, and has one of the largest freshwater beaches in the greater Seattle area. The park features picnic and day-use facilities, various recreational activities, boating amenities, group campsite accommodations, and other services. The park is a popular day-use destination for swimming, kayaking, picnicking, bird-watching, and community events and gatherings.

The park has three reserve-able picnic shelters, including a rotunda. Additionally, there are hundreds of picnic tables and barbeque grills scattered throughout the park. The park hosts numerous recreational activities including five sanded volleyball courts, horse-shoe pits, an amphitheater, two softball/baseball fields, eleven soccer fields, and children’s play areas.

Popular water activities include boating, freshwater fishing, kayaking, swimming, and water skiing. The waterfront offers several boat ramps, watercraft launches, and docks for personal watercraft. Additionally, kayak rentals are available in the summer. Amenities include restrooms, two bath houses with changing rooms, showers, and a concession stand.

The park boasts three salmon-bearing creeks, a great blue heron rookery, deciduous forest habitats, and wetland vegetation. There are over 1.5 miles of biking and hiking trails through these natural areas along paved and dirt trails.
